At the DEEP Center for Counseling and Psychotherapy Training, Candyce provides therapists with in-depth post-graduate education in the theory and practice of therapy that:

• is based on cutting-edge interpersonal neurobiology, emotion theory, developmental sciences, and attachment theory.
• begins with creating a warm, engaged, and helpful relationship between therapist and client; not a neutral, distant relationship where the therapist doesn’t respond.
• creates a collaboration between client and therapist, so that the client understands how the therapy works, and why the therapist is doing what she is doing.
• is healing-oriented, rather than pathology-oriented.
• facilitates and focuses on deep healing and transformation in the client, and helps clients gain access to their full range of emotions, to an experience of their authenticity, and to meaning, confidence, and healthy relationships.
• facilitates a new healing experience in the room with the therapist, rather than simply talking about problems or relying on intellectual insights to make changes.

The therapists listed below have completed Candyce’s DEEP Experiential Therapy Skills and Theory Training Course, a year-long intensive post-graduate course that focuses on this type of experiential, existential therapy. The training course requires in-depth emotional, experiential, and intellectual engagement by the therapist participants.
